Melting Moments
Makes 16
Ingredients:
5oz Self Raising Flour
4oz Margarine
3oz Caster Sugar
2 drops Vanilla Essence
1 Egg Yolk
Porridge Oats for coating
Half cherries for decorating (optional)

Method:

Put all the ingredients (except oats and cherries) in a bowl.

Stir together and knead into a firm dough.

Roll out into a sausage shape and divide into 16 equal pieces

Roll each piece in oats, flatten and place on baking parchment on a baking tray

Space evenly (8 pieces to a baking tray). Place half a cherry onto each piece (optional).

Bake at 180 degrees C/gas mark 4 for about 15-18 minutes.

Allow to cool and enjoy!
